MyHometown Films is proud to produce Legacy Moments, they are ‘moving portraits’ that blend filmed interviews together with family photos, documents, artwork, and other memorabilia. Together, we'll capture a beautiful memoir on video of your loved one as they recount their life story and memories – a one of a kind gift your family will treasure for years to come.

Whether producing a video on a grandparent’s life story, celebrating your parents anniversary, or presenting your family history at an upcoming reunion, Legacy Moments are designed to your needs. They are completely custom and can focus on a single person, a special couple or even the family history as recalled by several family members.

Filmed interviews take place on location in the comfort of the home and are conducted conversation style. Professional video equipment is used throughout the entire production process. Families are also welcome to review the draft of the film to provide input during the process.

• Interview footage is lightly edited.

• 40 family photos along with titles, transitions, music, and more are edited throughout.

• A 45min - 1 hour video memoir capturing your parent or grandparent recounting favorite stories from throughout their life.
• 1 Flash-drive with the movie file. (Movie files can be easily copied onto your own flash-drives to share with family and friends.)

• Movie uploaded to a private web page for 6 weeks.

• Movie available for download for 6 weeks.

On Location Filming:

A 2+ hour filmed interview with your family member, touching on the family history with a more in-depth review of their life story – from early childhood up to the present day.

B-Roll – footage shot outside the interview (walking in the garden, playing with the grandchildren, family get together, etc.)

Post-production Editing (70+ hours)

• Interview footage is edited into a 1-1.5 hour video memoir.

• 80 family photos, documents, maps and other memorabilia are edited throughout.

• Titles, chapters, music and more are added throughout

• Light research for additional images to enhance the movie (ie. of a childhood home, grade school, church/temple).
